This review in Googlenglish!

It was long, long time even. Since the shock Glastonbury 5 months ago, not least in concert to put teeth into a separate on Copacabana Live Earth in Rio de Janeiro and some small groups that make occasions in Guns'n'Roses bars in South America. Then, on arriving Melbourne, when I saw Patrick Wolf was in concert the next day in a small room connected to the east of the city, I jumped at the chance!

First observation: young Australians lovers rock / indie / all this is very stylish to the point of equaling at least what I saw in London. Or maybe just half the audience was English ... But of course none of them could hold a candle to Patrick Wolf, who made his entrance on stage with an outfit of the most eccentric: A very short shorts, a tattered leaves appear above his torso decorated with kinds garlands hung in the back, not forgetting of course his famous red hair for the occasion accompanied by a starry necklace ... In short, quite a show ...
violinist, bassist, drummer and musician accompanying computer engineer, modestly dressed in black, were at least in contrast to their frontman ...

The concert was launched to great effect with Overture, which is also the first song from her latest album. Two songs later, wanting to sit on his stool to play the synth, Patrick Wolf breaks miserably mouth and seemed annoyed by land, exits a " I'm fed up With This shit "(or something) and then leaves the stage while his band continued to play, rather surprised by the events and waiting for him back, before leaving the stage in turn is beginning to ...
s' impatient and ask questions in public, but the friend Patrick finally returns to finish her with joy and good humor, eventually leading to the very The Magic Position Accident & Emergency and before thank the public that had nothing to be disappointed by 1:30 a very good show!

In part one, I discovered Bachelorette , a New Zealander who only makes music bizarre mixture of psychedelic and pop, a bit like Au Revoir Simone (but much worse), and Mist and Sea , the local group of the evening , which makes him in the electro-pop and not really excited me, especially because the songs to review.

Glastonbury 2007 - Sunday

Glastonbury see all items .

After JM Vincent P., let the pen (or rather the keyboard) to JM Rom to tell us the final day on Sunday and conclude with what Glastonbury 2007 ...

Sunday, last day. After catching the wrong mud (Copyright @ Roma) on the day wandering much of the night on the edge of the site (read around the Park), waking up wet again, more than the day before, so much so that drops begin to cross the tent, especially on my side also:) The day promises to be long, nothing very exciting level music until late at night. It recognizes some of the riffs Sunshine Underground playing not far away, while the group was announced in the middle of the afternoon on another stage, damage ...

Time to go eat a little something in a yard in an atmosphere Tristounette and it goes to the Park Stage on the other side of the site in relation to our camp. Retrospective it seems that this place, the Park is the place 'IN' of Glastonbury, where people are naked, dying of overdoses, etc. ... To see so next time (or not). The very secret secret secret special guest is known for a long time, it'll be Pete Doherty , and wild rumors (?), Announce the reformation of the Libertines ... The scene is quite small but the audience is large to attend the performance. I know quite a bit the Libertines / Babyshambles / Pete Doherty but it is a very pleasant surprise ! Pete, with his look of troubadour in a good mood, and it is also a very good musician, it must still provide for playing alone with a guitar in front of several hundred people. There will be entitled to a Can not Stand Me Now very nice, in a warm "end of the festival." No traces of Carl Barat by cons ...

We chained a few minutes after the Jazz World Stage with Beirut, whose real name is Zach Condon . This small American critical acclaim, including Inrocks , arrived on scene with a few grams of alcohol in his blood! Good spirit here too, nice concert ...

the Pyramid Stage Branch then (first and last concert on this stage of our Glasto!) To see / listen / support Kaiser Chiefs. Too hard for me, I hate them, I'd rather go get me something to eat. At this point, I know it is in England but I have rarely eaten food also infects my life, and more expensive, while a ham and butter would have been the case, oh well ...

Our Glasto will end as scheduled so before the show of Chemical Brothers on the Other Stage, the time that the holes in the c * l The View in end (how can they retouver is so high on the poster?). It starts to rain when Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons are appearing on stage in a big room (the old parties are see the Who on the Pyramid Stage ).

Umbrellas and ponchos are out. Crouched behind machine-style Star Wars (with lots of buttons include flashing lights that do not help I'm sure), they set fire to the audience to 99% of youth friendly, despite rain and fatigue after 3 days to dance, drink, walk, get stoned (besides when I scratch my nose, hay fever requiring a type looks at me with a smile and said "Poppers? ?"...). Poppers The sound is huge, the impressive light show, big concerts electro decidedly worth seeing. They enslave their biggest hits and end on a monster megamix of Chemical Beats (playstationniens memories resurface for insiders) that will have lasted a quarter of an hour.

The full set list:
'No Path To Follow'
'Galvanised'
'Burst Generator'
'Do It Again'
'Get Yourself High'
'Hey Boy Hey Girl'
'All Rights Reserved'
'Out Of Control'
'Do not Fight Control'
'Temptation'
'Star Guitar'
'Surface To Air'
'Under The Influence'
'Saturate'
'Believe'
'Wiard / Acid Children'
'Golden Path'
'Chemical Beats'

Difficult to best for the closing of the festival, but it is already time to leave, our bus leaving early in the night. Atmosphere in the parking lot: everyone motionless, head bowed, silent ... After an hour of endless waiting in a rainstorm, it was decided not to wait for our bus and jump on the first bus to London we will go. Time to put some clothes dry, to rock these boots full of **** could mud, the bus starts and goes back to London, finally ...

Disorders More Condition_symptoms

Glastonbury 2007 - Saturday

Glastonbury see all items .

Being currently somewhere in Bolivia, I have not had time to finish my report on Glastonbury 2007. However, two special envoys for The JM Blog were also present to make you relive the past two days, I have appointed JM Vincent P. JM and Roma. It begins with the first named will tell you on Saturday ...

Saturday morning. Woke up early. Up late. Howling in the tent next door. The mud began to creep across the tent. First look out: a mound of beer cans left, our soft muddy boots ahead wisely, we are ready to screw up your feet again and again ... Well Saturday. On paper the day the less exciting musically.

For some reason at the time of writing it continued to rain until quite late, so that we had ample time to take advantage of a excellent breakfast typically british watching the rain fall. Unforgettable. With all this crap the first group we saw none other than Dirty Pretty Things , or the minions of Barat affectionately known as our friend Pete. True to themselves. Not good not bad. But not especially good either.

Branch The Other Stage or we hear the end of the set of Brazilian CSS. Follow Klaxons that swamp us a pretty good set ... and yes! It was indeed very nice, and the guitarist kept saying that it was the happiest time of his life to play here in Glastonbury and had sunglasses for some reason at the time of writing, because it was raining, but I think he was crying ...

Then Doherty has landed us play a few songs with his funny ... even Babyshambles Kate Moss hum came two or three words with this good Pete. "I'm so clever, wise and clever so fuck forever " he sang. Interesting. The Guillemots

. Half an hour in mud. This is quite handy because next the famous stand where they sell the pear cider, cider 8% absolutely devastating. Many people are beginning to drench around the mud pit. Disturbing. It is only 19:30. The Guillemots
us a lil concert out of the ordinary, including the Brazilian dancers on each side of the stage. Not bad, but it breaks not three feet and a duck as they say on the side of Biot.

At this moment we have the chance to enjoy again the divine kitchen of Glastonbury. Whatever your stand where you go, everything tastes the same anyway. Editors . First reaction: I did not know there was Interpol ! Too cool! Oh no shit it's not actually them. Indeed it is not them. They are certainly not bad, but much worse. The singer makes funny gestures on stage, he tightens his arms very high, it's amazing. Some songs are very good output, which made me think that these guys had potential. Listening to the album, one realizes that this is not entirely false, but not necessarily true.

Kill mud to Pyramid Stage for the last concert of the day. Killers . Music by killers. Is a crazy world. It's hysteria. Finally here Brandon . And it starts with a big fireworks show ... the American way. And then they play all their hits: Read My Mind , Somebody Told Me ... But what shocks is how these songs are hollow. Nothing emerges. No emotion. This is especially disturbing to see how this group is popular. That must be it commercial music. I remember those two Korean kills head screaming: "I've got soul purpose I'm not a soldier, I've got soul but I'm Not a soldier "... They had reached a kind of trance. Fascinating.

As you can see the concerts seen today were very average, we will not hide it. It was difficult anyway to repeat the performance on Friday. To drown our grief we went to two three Pear Cider before staggering to Last Vegnass then The Stone Circle in the cold, mud and people dressed as rabbits. Rabbits full of mud. crowded tents. Rabbits. Thom Yorke? Pills? Mud. Rock'N'Roll.

Glastonbury 2007 - Friday

Glastonbury see all Articles .

Plic, plop, plic, plop ... The sound of raindrops we wake up on Friday, packed like sardines in our tent in the middle of thousands of others Glastonbury, not far from the John Peel Stage where the first notes sound for music festival which begins in earnest. The hopes of yesterday have not taken very long: the rain had finally also found a ticket to Glastonbury and had to stay there all weekend. Hard to motivate to get out of our temporary home and confront her ... However, the day promises exceptional level concerts.

Between two showers, equipped with plastic bags (translation for northerners: plastic bags) around our shoes (no, we had no boots ...), we find the courage to go out and take a look ' look at the first concerts. Passing on the Pyramid Stage we attended the concerts of Scottish youngsters The View we felt a little lost on this huge stage. Their first album, released earlier this year had absolutely nothing extraordinary but nevertheless was listening with some fun, with some good songs like Same Jean . Live is another matter and the four kids still have progress to make. However, as I will repeat often, a concert in late morning or middle of the afternoon can not be assessed as an evening concert in the evening.

We moved then to the Other Stage (the second biggest stage after the Pyramid Stage) pending the arrival of Modest Mouse. We took the opportunity to see The Cribs which were quite good. I really like their latest single particular Men's Needs (and check out the video for this song too ...).

As the rain increased in intensity and our poor Plastic bags were beginning to give up the ghost, Modest Mouse was then come on stage. I loved their last album, "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank" so much that I waited impatiently. With Johnny Marr (former Smiths guitarist ) acclaimed by the public, Modest Mouse was able to give us a good time when we were soaked to the bone in warming us with songs that are skipping as Float On Dashboard or . A good concert, but I still preferred to see a little later in the evening, in another mood ...

Just enough time to equip themselves with brand new boots that were beginning to get really critical and it happened to Bright Eyes I was also eager to see for the first time, being a good amateur folk-rock of Conor Oberst friend. Yet, as he himself says ("It is nice to Be here again. I Thought We'd never come back "), we did not see him again one day after Glasto comments disturbing that he made two years ago about John Peel . Dressed in white and accompanied by an orchestra, Conor Oberst has tapped into his best songs. Again, I liked the service but hard to catch fire when we are in the middle of the after noon and there is no atmosphere in the audience.

atmosphere, it would just go with Rufus Wainwright , always on the Other Stage (which will eventually not leave from The Cribs). He also accompanied many musicians dressed like him in a crazy style, we delivered a strong performance embellished with a few surprises and grand final. After the superb song 14th St, Rufus is back on stage in a bathrobe and accompanied by his sister Martha for us to play the beautiful song Hallelujah duet. Then he left his bathrobe to reveal a mini-skirt and tights, then set the lipstick to resume the song Get Happy Judy Garland of as a true cabaret singer and his musicians also playing the game by the dancers. Really a great time! Rufus Wainwright has given its performance a little more special festival you like them!

After Rufus was the most anticipated time of day: Arcade Fire! While the rain had stopped and we watched a beautiful sunset, the crowd came in large numbers to cheer on the Canadians who had installed 5 or 6 screens on stage to take odd videos. No surprises: for their first Glastonbury, Arcade Fire has made everyone agree with a perfect set-list, boundless energy and everything you need to do a concert close to perfection. Linking Neighborhood # 3 (Power Out) and Rebellion (Lies) before finishing on Wake Up which is now a hymn, while the public carrying the song in my heart. Need we say more except that I believe Arcade Fire is currently the best band in the world ...

Here is the setlist:
'Black Mirror'
'No Cars Go'
of Haiti '
' Neighborhood # 2 (Laika) '
Intervention'
'(Antichrist Television Blues)'
' My Body Is A Cage '
Ocean Of Noise'
'Neighborhood # 1 (Tunnels)'
'The Well & The Lighthouse'
'Neighborhood # 3 (Power Out)'
'Rebellion (Lies)'
'Wake Up '

After that, we were all stunned and concerts were not yet completed. On Friday night the choice was very difficult knowing that even the headliners of different stage included Arctic Monkeys, Bjork, Hot Chip, Damien Rice, Damian Marley and Fatboy Slim. It finally Bjork that we chose and although I am far from being a fan of the small Finnish, I must admit that with hindsight, I enjoyed his performance. Changing costumes several times during the concert, Bjork sailed between his last album, "Volta", and the best songs from his repertoire. But what I remember is the incredible shape she has. More than 40 years, she keeps jumping and dancing on stage (indeed, in this connection, I noticed an amazing simititude between his way dance and that of Lovefoxxx, singer CSS! The little Brazilian could she inspired the small Finnish ....). In addition, there were effects of lights and lasers very successful who loved a little more substantial.

Even if the weather has been atrocious, the day has been exceptional in terms of music. However, the night was far from over ... After a short tour to the famous Brothers Bar and Pear Cider more than 7%, we went for a ride to the famous Stone Circle, a small hill to the limits of the festival, marking the cool people and campfires. To describe in few words, saying that it was very sex, drugs and rock'n'roll except it lacked the sex and rock'n'roll;)

Where Does Myamee Get Her Weave

Around the world, around the world ...

This blog will soon be idle. The reason is simple: I'm going to travel for several months and it will not be easy to update. However, I think I'll keep posting some articles from time to time to keep alive a minimum. This blog is like a dog when you go on vacation this summer: I will not be able to take care of it but still will not let on side of the highway and it will take the bull by the horns on my return so keep all your bookmarks / links!

My journey is simply a world tour, the start is scheduled for ... tomorrow and you can follow my adventures on another blog, called Half A World Away is here!

The name of this blog comes from a song from a group which I seems to me he never talked about London Calling: REM who nonetheless my favorite band;)

Glastonbury 2007 - Glastonbury

Glastonbury: see all items .

Veni, vidi, vici. It was hard but we survived. As expected, it rained so we experienced what it feels like to live for three days in mud listening to music, either classical conditions for Glastonbury. It takes a little time to recover but it will remain an unforgettable memory. You must go to Glastonbury to understand why it's so myhtique ...

was however very nearly missed it for a stupid mistake. Arrived at Earl's Court to await our bus in the middle of many other pilgrims (yes, Glastonbury is a kind of ... pilgrimage) who had backpacks five times bigger than ours all together, we waited patiently for our bus number was announced, while we binouze with some refreshing. Once we had heard our number, so we walked to the bus. It was already full and was about to leave without us! Apparently it had been announced for a while and it was not gone yet, it's just because it was blocked by another bus ahead of him! When you know that it is the driver who delivered the tickets to Glasto, would've been really bad ...

After four hours of travel and a moment tourism through Stonehedge we arrived at Glastonbury to 22h in this Thursday evening. First impression: it is huge, very impressive. It is as if a great city had been placed there in the valley in the hills. 180 000 people clueless in the middle of the campaign, ca takes up space. It was nice (translation: it was not raining) and we, young and naive, thought then to spend a glorious weekend, we almost disturbing not to have taken a sunscreen (I may be a little too far there). We found a nice place to pitch our tent (two seats for three, I said) then go merrily discover the huge site in us wandering in the aisles and scenes, stopping the passage in bars here and there enjoying the various events.

Back to 4am, a little surprise waiting for us: our tent was no longer in his place! Wholesale malignant who watched around a fire had seen fit to move it, probably because they had exceeded their imaginary line of comfort. After a short discussion, we understand that it was not worth wasting more time with this group of retarded mental and went to bed in our tent that was a few meters away.

The day would soon rise, the sky was calm, the grass was still green, almost dry, you could sit by quietly and think-earth exceptional musical program tomorrow. We did not know it was last weekend we sat by-land ...

Planetary Pinball On Funbrain

Thursday, here we are!

In a few short hours, we arrive at Glastonbury , being too much hassle to ride our fucking tent among thousands of others in a muddy field whore. Glastonbury is the biggest festival in the world, 180,000 people, hundreds of groups, a weekend of all the excess and ... a time of shit. Since the beginning

of the week, all the media speak English every day and especially Glastonbury: what time will he do, this is the big question? The last event in 2005 was the most catastrophic in history (see photo gallery here ), weather is a subject that does indeed talk. Earlier this week, it was entitled to a catastrophic weather floods and then over the week, the forecasts became better: it would rain so that 3 days 4 with only a few heavy showers a day. Ouahou, but it is a time to dream, he will therefore have to remember to bring sunscreen!

short, a Glastonbury without rain is not a true Glastonbury. On the list of things to bring, we find very often in the front line boots. Well, that, already, that will not this time because the few places we went had already been robbed ... It's okay, we'll go to hard, it seems that the first Glastonbury is a good lesson for next time;) Do not worry, it was still a tent (two for three seats) and sleeping bags.

Glastonbury, it's not a time to shit, it's also music. It must be admitted, the headliners this year are very disappointing (Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, The Who) but if you look at the entire program, we say that we are dealing with something special. Look at the program's dream Friday night on the Other Stage! And when we see what is happening on other scenes, we say that there will be some very difficult choices to make (on Friday evening for example, offers Arctic Monkeys, Bjork, Hot Chip, Damien Rice, Damian Marley and Fatboy Slim at the same time !)... Personally, there are groups that I really want to see as Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, The Chemical Brothers or Arcade Fire, then we'll see ... hard to predict in advance ...

Apart from that, there are rumors that the Libertines might form again during the weekend. During the night from Saturday to Sunday, there will also be an attempt to beat the world record for simultaneous rolling shovel ...

What is certain is that this weekend will remain unforgettable. Ok, I'll leave you, I'll prepare my bag.

The Coral @ Astoria

>> The Coral @ Astoria, London, 18/06/2007
>> Support from Kate Nash

This review in Googlenglish!

After two huge shows Saturday and Sunday with Daft Punk and Muse , return to normal with a good old concert at the Astoria to see The Coral . Fourth concert in five days, enough to be well enraîné Glastonbury after three days. I already had a glimpse The Coral live when they were preceded their pal Noel Gallagher at Royal Albert Hall ( Oasis was indeed in the public's Astoria), but this time it was their concert and I could not miss it as I love this group. It was crossing my last London gig of the year ... Formed in 1996

having met in high school, 7 Liverpudliens recorded their first album in 2002 before experiencing a big success in the UK, placing their four albums (including a mini-album, "And The Sons Nightfreak of Becker ") each time in the Top 5 charts. Now they are preparing to release a new album, "Roots and Echoes," scheduled for August 6, and that accompany a tour. The concert started

in a rather quiet atmosphere. I do not know if it was shock after witnessing one after two concerts in more than 40 000 people in charged atmosphere or whether it was because it was Monday and that everyone had spent a tiring weekend but in any Then I found the public fast asleep, and The Coral not in a good shape either. Fortunately, after a few songs, everyone awoke to Dreaming Of You and the second part of the concert became so much better with a good majority of their best titles and a crowd that finally began moving well. In The Morning , Do not Think You're The First or Pass It On suivèrent then outstanding securities I Remember When Bill and McCaie as a reminder. After one hour, it was already finished and it was a pity ... Note that they also played three songs from their new album: Who's Gonna Find Me , the single (MP3 below), and Jacqueline and In The Rain.

In part one, I saw for the third time Kate Nash me again no more excited than that. I agree that little Kate, 19 years, I hang a lot of talent but not really his music is good but not great;) After releasing their debut single earlier this year, another named Foundations, is scheduled for this summer while the album should follow before the end of the year.

Brand New. Opened recently, the legendary stadium in London had had its first concert a week earlier with George Michael, Muse have booked the following weekend for his two biggest shows of its history. And yet, contrary to Daft Punk, this concert was not initially planned in my agenda, especially since I had already seen the band Matt Bellamy last November at Wembley Arena Today, Muse became a group of stages, with incredible live performances and unanimously recognized as exceptional (the English media have made the " Britain's best live band ). They have indeed cut music for large enclosures and adding lighting effects and various other activities, their shows are truly entertainment. With Wembley and 70,000 spectators were expected to so something giganstesque. To accompany them, My Chemical Romance ,
Biffy Clyro and Shy Child were also in the game.

arrived in the morning to be assured of being in the golden circle (and thus not obliged to watch the show on giant screens as too far from the scene), we had to wait some time alongside horrible fans of My Chemical Romance in the queue before entering the magnificent Wembley Stadium. And when we find ourselves in the middle of the stadium, we must admit that's pretty impressive ... When in a group and we know that all these people coming for you, AC should do something anyway.
Shy Child was so honored to open hostilities before a stadium half empty. already seen the day before the Wireless Festival, the two Americans played a good half-hour their synth-rock. At the first song, we thought that was not bad, after three you start to get tired and we want that ca finish quickly. In short, the impression was confirmed the day before, it's really not that great. The kind of band that we like to hear in a single evening in the middle of other songs but it is hard to hear the whole album.

was then the turn of Biffy Clyro take place on stage. I knew almost nothing of what group they came from Scotland to release their new album recently and also works well in England as it was second on the charts. Even if is hard to appreciate a group that is meant for the first time I was not really excited about their performance. Long-haired guys playing something that looks like grunge, it's pretty rare on the other side of the neck but there not much good. It might be the coup, however, take a look at what makes this CD. The afternoon was almost unbearable when you know that My Chemical Romance was the next band on stage. With all the fans in the audience (there were also two specimens that was worth the trip just behind us), one could say that there would be at least the atmosphere but it was not even the case. Not much to add except that there was really nothing exciting in their music. Their performance was not bad but hey, that's what, in the words of a certain Fab, it looks like the U.S. Kyo;) After all that, we had deserved to finally have some something interesting. The stadium was finally completed and the night began to fall slowly, preparing to ignite Muse Wembley. The various devices present on the scene and the stadium promised an impressive sight : Six enormous satellite dishes on stage, two giant screens on the sides plus another huge behind the scenes and huge balloons hung in the bleachers behind the stage. Leaving in the middle of the stadium and across the central track to reach the scene, they began the concert in the same way that I had left at Wembley Arena with Knights Of Cydonia . Knowing the power of the end of this song, a combination of spaghetti western music with electro-rock, one could say that the concert starting up in a good way. Anyway, the atmosphere was already very high rise the first title. Supermassive Black Hole followed not far then Matt Bellamy, wearing a suit entirely red, chained and took his piano songs which calm
Feeling Good, Nina Simone resumed
. The atmosphere was gone down low enough and we were very disappointed in the first hour concert not really exciting. The fact that it was still light also play a role in this disappointment. This is really only from Starlight the show took off. The darkness was finally here and the lighting effects could begin. The six enormous satellite dishes on stage is finally put in motion for the first time, the light they cast sweeping the audience in the stadium. A few minutes later, we offered an excellent Muse New Born

then after a short break, came back on stage for Muse
Soldiers Poem
during which the entire audience turned on her laptop in the dark for a beautiful and surprising result . The pretty Unintended then followed then
Blackout
on which we were treated to a big surprise. On either side of the stage, two huge white balloons were detached bleachers for agitated to tens of meters high. Onto their bottom, two acrobats turning on themselves! It was not just a concert we attended, but to a great show (see video link Blackout below).

then chained Muse Bliss
where AC becomes a habit, huge balls were bouncing and then burst into the public. The trio then fled the scene again to return minutes later with
Plug In Baby , one of the crowd favorite. The excited Stockholm Syndrome followed and the concert ended with Take A Bow (Not really the best way to conclude my opinion ...) with a guard of huge flames in front of the stage to finish.

Finally, after a disappointing first half of the concert, but we were treated to an incredible second part of a vibrant spectacle in a highly charged atmosphere and finally includes the best songs from Muse. It is clear, Muse became a group of stages as there are very few in the world, but we must admit that the three English proficient pretty good about them in these spaces. The setlist:

'Knights Of Cydonia' 'Hysteria' 'Supermassive Blackhole' 'Map Of The Problematique' 'Forced In' 'Sing For Absolution' 'Butterflies & Hurricanes' 'Hoodoo' 'Apocalypse Please' 'Feeling Good' 'Sunburn' 'Invincible' 'Starlight' 'Blues Jam' 'Time Is Running Out' 'Newborn'

This concert, that was a time that was marked in my calendar. June 16: Daft Punk live in Hyde Park. Yet I am not and I've never been a big fan of Daft Punk but it is clear that the two Frenchies have left their mark on the last ten years and they have many titles worship, besides their live performances that are more rare. This concert, as I have also been seen on another blog
is also the concert of a generation. Three days before, they played before 20,000 people at Bercy this time they attacked in Hyde Park and an audience of at least 40,000 boys and girls ready to attend a huge party.
And to keep warm during the third day of Wireless Festival, the organizers had put together a remarkable program combining electro and electro-rock with the best names in the scene that are attracting a lot of them, "children "Daft Punk somehow ...

Our first destination was the second stage (
XFM Stage) and tries very valuable when it rains (do not worry, it was then most liked of the day, besides, I was almost disappointed because I had my K-Way). There, Modular DJs
were doing up the atmosphere to the entrance of Shy Child, synth-rock duo New Yorker who recently made the first part of
Klaxons and Hot Chip . After two songs, not really thrilled, we're back out to go for a walk outside and visit places from the passage before
Datarock
on the big stage. Norwegians do not thrilled me more than that of the little I've seen ... Things then begin in earnest Calvin Harris really
with the new little electro phenomenon that comes from Ireland (which I've already talked here ). And at just 23 years, helped by a group configuration "rock band", it has provided little Calvin (who sings and mixes). A good stage presence and music, a mixture of pop and electronica, which makes you want to have agitated enough to blow the whole room, including the excellent title Acceptable In The 80's and The Girls . Calvin Harris is likely to hear about it a long time. a break on the lawn outside and it was left with Digitalism. Also any new information on the electro scene, this German duo comes as , released his debut album "Idealism" and made him a solenoid in the same course as Justice or Daft Punk. No guitars, but so many mixer and an electronic drum minimalism. And presto, it was left for 40 minutes of madness! It was still very heavy and it sent in, even if the sound was far from being equal to that of Justice few days earlier at Mean Fiddler . Besides, these guys have at least as much talent as Justice but have no style, no emblem or other stuff like that, they have writ contrary to justice as their music, which explains the buzz much smaller (I think that Justice have them all included level buzz and marketing). Note that the two Germans have bestowed a remix of Daft Punk during their set.
Passage then on the big stage on which it remained until the end of the evening. Too bad for Simian Mobile Disco who have preferred the passion of Brazilians CSS

who played their best songs with a
Lovefoxxx in great shape and dressed in a combination multicolored glow. The public, however, was not very receptive and it was a shame. I did not feel any way that CSS is the kind of band that goes well in a place as vast as Hyde Park, I much preferred their performance at Hammersmith Palais earlier this year. The irresistible
Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above
finally has everything even managed to move some (see the links below for the remixes of this song by Hot Chip, Calvin Harris and Simian Mobile Disco). was then or
Klaxons LCD Soundsystem
. Having already saw the lunch there is little English and wanting to set up for Daft Punk which followed, the choice of LCD Soundsystem made of himself, especially since I love both albums

James Murphy (apparently He also that the tent was not large enough to accommodate all the fans of Klaxons). The benefit of the group was friendly with all the best securities Tribulations or ... Daft Punk Is Playing At My House . One would think that the guitarist, in his fifties, came out straight from a political rally with his head Francois Hollande and his costume! Pretty amazing ... James Murphy had him look like a nice big bear harmless. The performance of LCD Soundsystem is complete, it starts to push forward and seriously to narrow while the curtains were closed to hide the scene. The moment everyone was waiting for approaching Daft Punk would arrive on scene within minutes. Perched on their famous pyramid
Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel
de Homem-Christo (Pay your name!) Began the set with the Robot Rock in an amazing atmosphere and completely unreal. It had to be there to understand what it was: a real killer! It was unlikely, something crazy, never seen (although I do concerts). For over an hour and a half, Daft Punk delivered a faultless performance including all their best songs mixed to perfection. And for an hour and a half, we did not stop jumping in every direction, dancing, pogoter, singing. Fatigue was nothing there, our feet were jumping all alone at the end. Back illuminated in new combinations for the reminder, Daft Punk finished with a mix of the hit Music Sounds Better With You (resumed
Stardust, ephemeral music project of Thomas Bangalter of 1998) with
for Aerodynamic results the greatest effect. In addition to music, it should be noted that we also received a big light show and video pretty impressive. short, hard to describe a moment like we have lived (just watch the videos to see what it looked like). It was in any case seem to have been a huge thing to be remembered still for long. Daft Punk @ Hyde Park 2007, I was there;) The setlist: 'Robot Rock' 'Oh Yeah' 'Touch It'
'Voyager'
'Technologic' 'Television Rules The Nation '' Crescendolls' 'Steam Machine' 'Around The World' 'Harder Better Faster Stronger' 'Burnin' 'Too Long' 'Face To Face' 'Short Circuit' 'One More Time' 'Aerodynamic' 'Forget About The World' 'Brainwasher' 'Phoenix' 'Prime Time Of Your Life'
'Rollin and Scratchin'
'Alive' 'Da Funk' 'Daftendirekt' 'Superheroes' 'Rock N' Roll' 'Human After All' 'Revolution 909' 'Together' 'Music Sounds Better With You' 'Aerodynamic' Audio:

concert which they had just witnessed). So secret that it was practically impossible to know they were going to play. Nothing on their MySpace

, no ads on news websites musical short, a real girlfriend. But fortunately (thank you Fab) was still able to be aware and therefore were finally there. Finally, it would have taken much because the bouncers did not bring back my little brother pitches for the weekend and has not the majority. A small inlaid under a gate and stole the game was played, and

£ 5 saved (Mind you, young reader friendly, do not reproduce it, it hurts!).

The Thrills came on stage around 23h, chaining a new gig in the day as they were earlier in Hyde Park, playing before thousands of people

Wireless Festival along with the White Stripes

and Queens Of The Stone Age
. Change of place and atmosphere for the Irish so that, even if they are feeling a little tired, still had a great desire.

The set list was fairly consistent with the Lock Tavern: they played their best singles (

Big Sur,
Santa Cruz
, One Horse Town

...) and some new songs from their forthcoming album. Again, a good energy of a concert singer and very nice, although short (but at the same time we will not ask them to play two hours for a concert of this kind). The public, it was not very responsive with little fans and connoisseurs, unlike two weeks ago. In fact, given that the concert had not been announced, there were few fans and most people I think these were people who did not even know that The Thrills were playing live or so do not even know and who had just come drink blow! They have at least made a wonderful discovery I hope!

In part one, I was vaguely went threw a glance at
Exit Ten, a group of metal and Haunts
who were themselves in punk rock. Nothing memorable.

>> Justice @ Mean Fiddler, London 11/06/2007
>> Support from DJ Mehdi and Busy P This review in Googlenglish! A few days after a grand day ahead in Wireless Festival in Hyde Park ( Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem CSS, Klaxons , NYPC , SMD, Digitalism
...),
Justice, which strangely does not form part of the festival line-up Londoner, was a good development leg to soak in "the mood electronica. As we approach the release of his debut album "†", the French duo had planned a one-off show at the Mean Fiddler
for which the tickets were competitively awarded. I was not a winner but some have been luckier than me, so I was finally in the game.

Since 2003, Justice began to make themselves known through various remixes but in 2006, We Are Your Friends (although in fact this remix of Simian is a re-release of 2003 , when the song was called Never Be Alone
), they experienced a big success in passing the award winning best video at MTV Europe Music Awards
. From my side, I knew coming in that title and two other fairly recent singles group. Today, they enjoy a big buzz ( first the hype machine!) And are sometimes advertised as the successors of Daft Punk, with whom they share the same manager, Pedro Winter . It also Pedro Winter, aka Busy P , we found when we arrived. Meanwhile Justice, Busy P and DJ Medhi had indeed intended to heat the room and they did wonderfully. A Frankly, I think it was the first time I went to a "concert of this kind, the remaining live electronica for me guys that run the buttons to the fart. At the entrance, we were given a gift bag with badges, masks, posters and fluorescent pendant adorned with a cross, now famous symbol of Justice (I think also that the religious connotation behind it is quite limited, but hey ... why not go ...). We feel that justice is surrounded level marketing anyway. Not less than thirty amps
Marshall are there, we expect something big. When Justice comes in, a cross biblical light unfolds before them and go for a good hour of euphoria. It starts with Genesis
first song on the album, then AC will not stop, the songs merging into transitions always successful. The atmosphere up another notch when they start We Are Your Friends and not go down more until the end and the last piece, a mix of several of their titles. Overall I think we can say that it was sending heavy as the young seem nice. A huge sound (electro takes its full extent with big sound), a high quality service and an incredible atmosphere, I think we can say that Justice has done a good job and has great potential to increase its popularity and over again. I am still far from becoming a big fan of electro but this kind of service (although we can not remove the fact that the interaction with the public and the energy released has nothing to do with a rock concert) in small doses and at low frequency, I like it. Justice for all!

Justice Every month, a secret gig is announced then the group name is unveiled that will play only two or three days before the show. When you know the intimacy of the room the Proud Gallery and knowing that the groups are not programmed the first comers, these are opportunities not to be missed. After Kooks and The Sunshine Underground

for the first two posters, the third edition offered Ash in Friday, June 8 I experienced a memorable moment
with Dirty Pretty Things in this little room, therefore no hesitation to go back! I do not know much about Ash . The only experience I had with this group was a loose play on the album "Nu-Clear Sounds" from 1998. Formed in 1992, yet the Irish are a big piece and last. Since 1994, they recorded five albums (two of whom were at the top of UK charts) and are about to release a new beginning in July ("Twilight of the Innocents"). To accompany it, Ash will be performing 4 consecutive days at Koko and participated in the festival Isle Of Wight Saturday. This concert at the Proud Gallery was thus a kind of warm up. so that put our names on the guest list. He had then advised to arrive early to be sure to enter. It was therefore pointed to 7.30pm. There, the daughter of the entrance asked us: "You're guest-list ?". Us: "Yes . She: "Which ? . We "
MySpace. She: "OK
is good " ... So it was very useful for giving our names ...
After a tagine and a small water pipe in the bar opposite and a small terrace on the friendly binouze the Proud Gallery, we went to see what was happening on the side of the stage. The group
Goldspot
(who apparently did well) had already passed and it was The Films that were playing. I already had the opportunity to meet these four Americans in a different part . My recollection was not immortal ... Although the impression was better this time, the group does not exceptional, like many others with a style between pop and garage-rock revival, and with strong English influences. However, they have good energy and their live performance was actually quite pleasant.
After a short wait, then placed in Ash. The only album that I listened, I remembered a music close enough to the Britpop but it seems I was wrong. From the first song, the three Irishmen came out the big guns and big guitar riffs in a charged atmosphere. It was actually more of classic rock music that we had to do with as grunge leanings or even punk. I regret a little not knowing more of their songs because in the end, they apparently chained the singles and the public (by the way, it appears that members of
Coldplay and The Thrills were there) was all excited. In the end, after a performance finally long enough for a concert like this, my shirt was not far from being soaked and it was time to freshen up on the terrace ... Audio: Ash - Jesus Says (mp3) Video: Ash - Burn Baby Burn (clip) Links:

Ash Support from The Chap This review in Googlenglish!
Two years ago, they had a breath of fresh air with their crazy pop. With "In Case We Die", their second album, Architecture In Helsinki
had proved to the world and had been a little well-deserved success. Their recipe: cute little songs power pop vitamin boldness and spontaneity. Today, Australians are about to release a new album, "Places Like This", and it was with great enthusiasm that I see them at King's College of London.
Their performance was true to what one might hope: boundless energy and joy generated by communicative very active and restless musicians on stage. Most of them are multi-instrumentalists and exchange trombone, trumpet, xylophone, clarinet, tuba and percussion of all kinds to create a complete mess. When you listen to their album, it seems that there is a half-dozen different singers but in fact, even if Kellie Sutherland lends his voice and often that others take a few hearts, the leader of the group, Cameron Bird, who plays with his voice alternating between songs more or less serious and acute.

hard to stay still as catchy titles on
It '5 or Wishbone. I only criticism to some songs being a bit too short and therefore give a sense of disappointment when they end up while we still would. Architecture In Helsinki also played some new tracks from their upcoming album that seems to be in the same vein as what we know. The first part of the group The Chap
had earlier delivered an amazing performance, music made with experimental pop mixed with a multitude of other genres. For a few songs, two members engaged in small choreographies for fun while concluding their set, they offered an explosion of violin and cello completely Barje punctuated by a batterrie excited. Bows have been very expensive ... From London, The Chap have already recorded two albums and are currently working on a third.

Architecture In Helsinki This review in Googlenglish! I'm getting seriously behind on my posts ... But I have stuff to tell but I have not a free minute at the moment, even at work! Almost two weeks ago, Clash (again!) Organized an afternoon concert / DJ sets at Lock Tavern and Grand National live plus DJ set The Go! Team . Add to that a totally free atmosphere more frankly cool and you get an event Do not miss it, especially during a rainy afternoon. Happened to 5pm history do not miss anything, we started by getting into the upper room for a drink while the two daughters of The Go! Team mixaient in the corner. The room was decorated with many helium balloons, perched on the ceiling with long hanging son, which made it really good. Around 6.30pm, Grand National is mounted on the tiny stage for a benefit semi-acoustic that I really appreciated. Apart from the song
Drinking To Move On
and a very brief listen to their debut album, I do not know much about this group in London, apparently well best known in France and the USA than in their own country. There were three guitarists, one, the singer with a sound, and they have quietly rocked with calm melodies. Their second album, "A Drink & A Quick Decision" has been registered and is about to go out June 18 for download later in September on CD. After exchanging a few words with the singer, they should be back in concert in London at the Proud Gallery , or across the street. This information is exclusive to that I offer you;)

After a good burger, a positioning Early and strategic side of the stage in the downstairs room, and while there was still a good thirty people outside trying to queue in the hope of returning, The Thrills have emerged. It's really a group that I had much desire to see them live, having enjoyed their first two albums (especially the first) then see them in an atmosphere so intimate added even more excitement. It's simple, five Irish gave us a best-of their securities, also adding three new songs from their forthcoming album, "Teenager", which will be released very soon (July 22 to be precise). The best moment was without contests on the excellent Big Sur

on which the entire audience was resumed in the heart " tututududutudu ! The singer has a good stage presence and knows how to stir the crowd and for us to clap. After just three quarters of an hour, it was already finished but unfortunately this small intimate concert will remain a very good memory. Bizarrely, The Thrills have no plans to date on their tour in London this summer. Happy not to have missed the Lock Tavern on! Audio: The Thrills - Big Sur (mp3) Video:
