The Coral live when they were preceded their pal Noel Gallagher
at Royal Albert Hall (
Oasis was indeed in the public's Astoria), but this time it was their concert and I could not miss it as I love this group. It was crossing my last London gig of the year ... Formed in 1996
having met in high school, 7 Liverpudliens recorded their first album in 2002 before experiencing a big success in the UK, placing their four albums (including a mini-album, "And The Sons Nightfreak of Becker ") each time in the Top 5 charts. Now they are preparing to release a new album, "Roots and Echoes," scheduled for August 6, and that accompany a tour. The concert started
in a rather quiet atmosphere. I do not know if it was shock after witnessing one after two concerts in more than 40 000 people in charged atmosphere or whether it was because it was Monday and that everyone had spent a tiring weekend but in any Then I found the public fast asleep, and The Coral not in a good shape either. Fortunately, after a few songs, everyone awoke to
Dreaming Of You and the second part of the concert became so much better with a good majority of their best titles and a crowd that finally began moving well. In

Brand New. Opened recently, the legendary stadium in London had had its first concert a week earlier with
George Michael, Muse have booked the following weekend for his two biggest shows of its history. And yet, contrary to Daft Punk, this concert was not initially planned in my agenda, especially since I had already seen
the band
Matt Bellamy last November at Wembley Arena
Today, Muse became a group of stages, with incredible live performances and unanimously recognized as exceptional (the English media have made the "
Britain's best live band ). They have indeed cut music for large enclosures and adding lighting effects and various other activities, their shows are truly entertainment. With Wembley and 70,000 spectators were expected to so something giganstesque. To accompany them, My Chemical Romance
,
Biffy Clyro and Shy Child were also in the game. arrived in the morning to be assured of being in the golden circle (and thus not obliged to watch the show on giant screens as too far from the scene), we had to wait some time alongside horrible fans of My Chemical Romance in the queue before entering the magnificent Wembley Stadium. And when we find ourselves in the middle of the stadium, we must admit that's pretty impressive ... When in a group and we know that all these people coming for you, AC should do something anyway.
Shy Child was so honored to open hostilities before a stadium half empty. already seen the day before the Wireless Festival, the two Americans played a good half-hour their synth-rock. At the first song, we thought that was not bad, after three you start to get tired and we want that ca finish quickly. In short, the impression was confirmed the day before, it's really not that great. The kind of band that we like to hear in a single evening in the middle of other songs but it is hard to hear the whole album.
was then the turn of Biffy Clyro take place on stage. I knew almost nothing of what group they came from Scotland to release their new album recently and also works well in England as it was second on the charts. Even if is hard to appreciate a group that is meant for the first time I was not really excited about their performance. Long-haired guys playing something that looks like grunge, it's pretty rare on the other side of the neck but there not much good. It might be the coup, however, take a look at what makes this CD. The afternoon was almost unbearable when you know that My Chemical Romance was the next band on stage. With all the fans in the audience (there were also two specimens that was worth the trip just behind us), one could say that there would be at least the atmosphere but it was not even the case. Not much to add except that there was really nothing exciting in their music. Their performance was not bad but hey, that's what, in the words of a certain Fab, it looks like the U.S. Kyo;)
After all that, we had deserved to finally have some something interesting. The stadium was finally completed and the night began to fall slowly, preparing to ignite Muse Wembley. The various devices present on the scene and the stadium promised an impressive sight : Six enormous satellite dishes on stage, two giant screens on the sides plus another huge behind the scenes and huge balloons hung in the bleachers behind the stage. Leaving in the middle of the stadium and across the central track to reach the scene, they began the concert in the same way that I had left at Wembley Arena with Knights Of Cydonia
. Knowing the power of the end of this song, a combination of spaghetti western music with electro-rock, one could say that the concert starting up in a good way. Anyway, the atmosphere was already very high rise the first title. Supermassive Black Hole
followed not far then Matt Bellamy, wearing a suit entirely red, chained and took his piano songs which calm Feeling Good, Nina Simone resumed
. The atmosphere was gone down low enough and we were very disappointed in the first hour concert not really exciting. The fact that it was still light also play a role in this disappointment. This is really only from
Starlight the show took off. The darkness was finally here and the lighting effects could begin. The six enormous satellite dishes on stage is finally put in motion for the first time, the light they cast sweeping the audience in the stadium. A few minutes later, we offered an excellent Muse New Born
then after a short break, came back on stage for Muse

during which the entire audience turned on her laptop in the dark for a beautiful and surprising result . The pretty

on which we were treated to a big surprise. On either side of the stage, two huge white balloons were detached bleachers for agitated to tens of meters high. Onto their bottom, two acrobats turning on themselves! It was not just a concert we attended, but to a great show (see video link

, one of the crowd favorite. The excited 
Stockholm Syndrome followed and the concert ended with
Take A Bow (Not really the best way to conclude my opinion ...) with a guard of huge flames in front of the stage to finish.
Finally, after a disappointing first half of the concert, but we were treated to an incredible second part of a vibrant spectacle in a highly charged atmosphere and finally includes the best songs from Muse. It is clear, Muse became a group of stages as there are very few in the world, but we must admit that the three English proficient pretty good about them in these spaces. The setlist:

This concert, that was a time that was marked in my calendar. June 16: Daft Punk
live in Hyde Park. Yet I am not and I've never been a big fan of Daft Punk but it is clear that the two Frenchies have left their mark on the last ten years and they have many titles worship, besides their live performances that are more rare. This concert, as I have also been seen on another blog

Our first destination was the second stage (

And at just 23 years, helped by a group configuration "rock band", it has provided little Calvin (who sings and mixes). A good stage presence and music, a mixture of pop and electronica, which makes you want to have agitated enough to blow the whole room, including the excellent title Acceptable In The 80's and
The Girls
. Calvin Harris is likely to hear about it a long time. a break on the lawn outside and it was left with Digitalism. Also any new information on the electro scene, this German duo comes as , released his debut album "Idealism" and made him a solenoid in the same course as Justice or Daft Punk. No guitars, but so many mixer and an electronic drum minimalism. And presto, it was left for 40 minutes of madness! It was still very heavy and it sent in, even if the sound was far from being equal to that of Justice

Besides, these guys have at least as much talent as Justice but have no style, no emblem or other stuff like that, they have writ contrary to justice as their music, which explains the buzz much smaller (I think that Justice have them all included level buzz and marketing). Note that the two Germans have bestowed a remix of Daft Punk during their set.
Passage then on the big stage on which it remained until the end of the evening. Too bad for Simian Mobile Disco who have preferred the passion of Brazilians CSS who played their best songs with a
Lovefoxxx
in great shape and dressed in a combination multicolored glow. The public, however, was not very receptive and it was a shame. I did not feel any way that CSS is the kind of band that goes well in a place as vast as Hyde Park, I much preferred their performance at Hammersmith Palais

It was unlikely, something crazy, never seen (although I do concerts). For over an hour and a half, Daft Punk delivered a faultless performance including all their best songs mixed to perfection. And for an hour and a half, we did not stop jumping in every direction, dancing, pogoter, singing. Fatigue was nothing there, our feet were jumping all alone at the end. Back illuminated in new combinations for the reminder, Daft Punk finished with a mix of the hit Music Sounds Better With You
(resumed Stardust, ephemeral music project of Thomas Bangalter of 1998) with

The set list was fairly consistent with the Lock Tavern: they played their best singles (

...) and some new songs from their forthcoming album. Again, a good energy of a concert singer and very nice, although short (but at the same time we will not ask them to play two hours for a concert of this kind). The public, it was not very responsive with little fans and connoisseurs, unlike two weeks ago. In fact, given that the concert had not been announced, there were few fans and most people I think these were people who did not even know that The Thrills were playing live or so do not even know and who had just come drink blow! They have at least made a wonderful discovery I hope!
In part one, I was vaguely went threw a glance at
Exit Ten, a group of metal and Haunts
who were themselves in punk rock. Nothing memorable.

A few days after a grand day ahead in Wireless Festival in Hyde Park ( Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem CSS, Klaxons
, NYPC
, SMD, Digitalism
...), Justice, which strangely does not form part of the festival line-up Londoner, was a good development leg to soak in "the mood electronica. As we approach the release of his debut album "†", the French duo had planned a one-off show at the Mean Fiddler for which the tickets were competitively awarded. I was not a winner but some have been luckier than me, so I was finally in the game.
Since 2003, Justice began to make themselves known through various remixes but in 2006, We Are Your Friends
(although in fact this remix of Simian is a re-release of 2003 , when the song was called Never Be Alone ), they experienced a big success in passing the award winning best video at MTV Europe Music Awards
. From my side, I knew coming in that title and two other fairly recent singles group. Today, they enjoy a big buzz ( first
the hype machine!) And are sometimes advertised as the successors of Daft Punk, with whom they share the same manager, Pedro Winter . It also Pedro Winter, aka Busy P , we found when we arrived. Meanwhile Justice, Busy P and DJ Medhi had indeed intended to heat the room and they did wonderfully. A Frankly, I think it was the first time I went to a "concert of this kind, the remaining live electronica for me guys that run the buttons to the fart. At the entrance, we were given a gift bag with badges, masks, posters and fluorescent pendant adorned with a cross, now famous symbol of Justice (I think also that the religious connotation behind it is quite limited, but hey ... why not go ...). We feel that justice is surrounded level marketing anyway. Not less than thirty amps Marshall are there, we expect something big. When Justice comes in, a cross biblical light unfolds before them and go for a good hour of euphoria. It starts with Genesis
first song on the album, then AC will not stop, the songs merging into transitions always successful. The atmosphere up another notch when they start We Are Your Friends
and not go down more until the end and the last piece, a mix of several of their titles. Overall I think we can say that it was sending heavy as the young seem nice. A huge sound (electro takes its full extent with big sound), a high quality service and an incredible atmosphere, I think we can say that Justice has done a good job and has great potential to increase its popularity and over again. I am still far from becoming a big fan of electro but this kind of service (although we can not remove the fact that the interaction with the public and the energy released has nothing to do with a rock concert) in small doses and at low frequency, I like it. in this little room, therefore no hesitation to go back! I do not know much about Ash . The only experience I had with this group was a loose play on the album "Nu-Clear Sounds" from 1998. Formed in 1992, yet the Irish are a big piece and last. Since 1994, they recorded five albums (two of whom were at the top of UK charts) and are about to release a new beginning in July ("Twilight of the Innocents"). To accompany it, Ash will be performing 4 consecutive days at Koko and participated in the festival Isle Of Wight
Saturday. This concert at the Proud Gallery was thus a kind of warm up. so that put our names on the guest list. He had then advised to arrive early to be sure to enter. It was therefore pointed to 7.30pm. There, the daughter of the entrance asked us: "You're

From the first song, the three Irishmen came out the big guns and big guitar riffs in a charged atmosphere. It was actually more of classic rock music that we had to do with as grunge leanings or even punk. I regret a little not knowing more of their songs because in the end, they apparently chained the singles and the public (by the way, it appears that members of

Two years ago, they had a breath of fresh air with their crazy pop. With "In Case We Die", their second album, Architecture In Helsinki
had proved to the world and had been a little well-deserved success. Their recipe: cute little songs power pop vitamin boldness and spontaneity. Today, Australians are about to release a new album, "Places Like This", and it was with great enthusiasm that I see them at King's College of London. Their performance was true to what one might hope: boundless energy and joy generated by communicative very active and restless musicians on stage. Most of them are multi-instrumentalists and exchange trombone, trumpet, xylophone, clarinet, tuba and percussion of all kinds to create a complete mess. When you listen to their album, it seems that there is a half-dozen different singers but in fact, even if Kellie Sutherland lends his voice and often that others take a few hearts, the leader of the group, Cameron Bird, who plays with his voice alternating between songs more or less serious and acute.

or Wishbone. I only criticism to some songs being a bit too short and therefore give a sense of disappointment when they end up while we still would. Architecture In Helsinki also played some new tracks from their upcoming album that seems to be in the same vein as what we know. The first part of the group The Chap had earlier delivered an amazing performance, music made with experimental pop mixed with a multitude of other genres. For a few songs, two members engaged in small choreographies for fun while concluding their set, they offered an explosion of violin and cello completely Barje punctuated by a batterrie excited. Bows have been very expensive ... From London, The Chap have already recorded two albums and are currently working on a third.

Clash (again!) Organized an afternoon concert / DJ sets at Lock Tavern

Grand National live plus DJ set
The Go! Team . Add to that a totally free atmosphere more frankly cool and you get an event Do not miss it, especially during a rainy afternoon. Happened to 5pm history do not miss anything, we started by getting into the upper room for a drink while the two daughters of The Go! Team mixaient in the corner. The room was decorated with many helium balloons, perched on the ceiling with long hanging son, which made it really good. Around 6.30pm, Grand National is mounted on the tiny stage for a benefit semi-acoustic that I really appreciated. Apart from the song
Drinking To Move On and a very brief listen to their debut album, I do not know much about this group in London, apparently well best known in France and the USA than in their own country. There were three guitarists, one, the singer with a sound, and they have quietly rocked with calm melodies. Their second album, "A Drink & A Quick Decision" has been registered and is about to go out June 18 for download later in September on CD. After exchanging a few words with the singer, they should be back in concert in London at the Proud Gallery , or across the street. This information is exclusive to that I offer you;) After a good burger, a positioning Early and strategic side of the stage in the downstairs room, and while there was still a good thirty people outside trying to queue in the hope of returning, The Thrills have emerged. It's really a group that I had much desire to see them live, having enjoyed their first two albums (especially the first) then see them in an atmosphere so intimate added even more excitement.
It's simple, five Irish gave us a best-of their securities, also adding three new songs from their forthcoming album, "Teenager", which will be released very soon (July 22 to be precise). The best moment was without contests on the excellent Big Sur
on which the entire audience was resumed in the heart "
tututududutudu ! The singer has a good stage presence and knows how to stir the crowd and for us to clap. After just three quarters of an hour, it was already finished but unfortunately this small intimate concert will remain a very good memory. Bizarrely, The Thrills have no plans to date on their tour in London this summer. Happy not to have missed the Lock Tavern on!
